Since 2001, Jared’s work with REMAP (then, UCLA’s HyperMedia Studio) has experimented with approaches emerging technologies offer theatre-making, multiplatform storytelling and the dramatic arts. He has contributed as a writer and advisor to several REMAP projects, and in 2012, co-directed the REMAP-RITL Workshop for Digital Media, Theater and Design.
From 2005-2012, he co-directed the Rhodopi International Theatre Laboratory (RITL). REMAP was a primary contributor to RITL processes, developing dynamic design systems for collaborations with artists from around the world.
Jared has directed, written or contributed adaptations to performances throughout the States and abroad. From 2002-2004, he was Resident Playwright of the Nikolay Haytov Rhodope Drama Theatre, later the RITL’s base. He has also taught and directed at Southwestern University and Bulgaria’s National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, among others.
